Must have prior competitive swim team coaching experience.
Current certifications required but may be obtained on the job.
 
The Cape May Waves Swim Team is for youth ages 5-18 and are members of the South Jersey YMCA Swim League. 
Practices are held Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 4:15 to 6pm at the US Coast Guard Base and Wednesday from 6:15-7:45 at Crest Haven Special Services Pool. 
There are five to eight swim meets per season and the meets are typically on Saturdays.
 
The Fall/Winter practice and meet season runs from September 26th through February 6th.
Summer clinics are also held from Mid June through Mid August.

Year Round, Full-Time
     City Clerk
Municipal Clerk  – City of Cape May is seeking a responsible, organized, full-time Municipal Clerk/Municipal Registrar to oversee an active Municipal Clerk's office.  The successful candidate must be a New Jersey Registered Municipal Clerk (RMC) and New Jersey Certified Municipal Registrar (CMR) in good standing and have at least five years experience as a Municipal Clerk and/or Deputy Clerk.  This is a full time position with salary dependent on qualifications and experience with a benefits package.    Minimum 40 hours per week, hours of work may vary, some city council meetings are in the evening.   Submit resume on or before the close of business on December 16, 2016 to employment@capemaycity.com.

     City Manager
CITY MANAGER, CITY OF CAPE MAY, NJ, Serving a year round resident population of around 4,000 which grows to over 40,000 in the summer months with an $18 million operating budget plus a water/sewer, beach (life guards and beach tag workers) and a tourism (convention/community center) utility. Cape May operates under a (5 member) manager/council form of government according to the Faulkner Act. The preferred candidate must have experience in municipal government in the State of N.J. and must possess an understanding of all functions of municipal government as well as a mastery of organizational, communication and managerial skills. The city has a full time police and fire department and public works department. As the chief executive officer, the City Manager will direct the day-to-day management and coordination of all City departments which includes approximately 100 permanent employees and 100 seasonal employees; oversee preparation of annual budget by the CFO and administer budget controls; advise on policy, personnel and administrative matters; represent the City in relationships with other government entities; and make recommendations for future plans and programs. Preferred candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years management experience in NJ municipal government. MPA/BA/BS - CPM preferred.  Salary based upon qualifications and experience.  A liberal benefits policy will be provided and a contractual agreement, not to exceed three years is available.      Tax Collector
TAX COLLECTOR - City of Cape May is seeking a full-time NJ Certified Tax Collector to oversee the operations of the Tax Collector's office including but not limited to all statutory duties for billing and collection of taxes, tax lien sales, lien redemption, monthly and annual reporting, processing senior citizen and veteran deductions, collection of water and sewer receipts, initiating/refunding overpayments, collection of EMS ambulance billing receipts, data entry of all revenue, preparation of bank deposits and other mandated responsibilities for 3,953 line items and 4,025 water/sewer rent items.  Computer literate with knowledge of Edmunds and Microsoft Office software.  Motivated, hardworking, detail oriented individual able to manage various tasks with confidentiality, with excellent communication and customer service skills, and the ability to supervise employees and provide training and direction.  Qualified candidates must have current NJ CTC license with five (5) years of Tax Collector or Deputy Tax Collector experience.  Salary dependent on qualifications and experience with a benefits package.  Submit resume on or before the close of business on December 27, 2016 to employment@capemaycity.com.
