TRAFFIC MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT

This department installs and maintains all informational and regulatory municipal signs as well as pedestrian and vehicular traffic lines for cross-walks, parking stalls, driveways, loading zones, corners, and intersections. The department also oversees the Parking Meter Program that includes over 1500 electronic computerized programmable meters.

PARKING METER PROGRAM & SCHEDULE

PARKING METERS IN THE CITY ARE IN EFFECT FROM MAY 1st to OCTOBER 31ST

Meter Rate: 15 Minutes for twenty five cents ($ .25)

Meter compliance is strictly enforced from 10 A.M. TO 10 P.M. daily

Year round meters, with 3 Hour Limits, are located around the Washington Street Mall area, at the following locations.  

Mansion Street
Carpenter Lane
Lyle Lane

Year round meters, with 10 Hour Limits, are located at the Jackson Street parking lot 

All other meter locations are seasonal from MAY 1 – OCTOBER 31

Permit Parking is available for the following lots:

Jackson Street Lot - for one (1) year  - $360.00
Bank Street Lot - seasonal permit from May 1 thru October 31 - $160.00
