CAPE MAY, NJ — The Kiwanis Club of Cape May, in partnership with the City of Cape May, will host its annual Patriot Day 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on September 11 at 6:00 PM at Cove Beach on Beach Avenue.

The community is invited to gather in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 lives lost during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and aboard Flight 93.

This annual commemoration provides an opportunity for residents, visitors, and community leaders to come together to reflect on the lives lost, the bravery displayed, and the lasting impact of that tragic day. Representatives from local organizations and community leaders will offer remarks honoring the victims and recognizing the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the police officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel, first responders, and countless others who worked to save lives.

As part of the ceremony, attendees will observe a moment of silence as the American flag at the Cove is lowered, marking the conclusion of the summer season and providing a meaningful setting for reflection and remembrance.

The public is encouraged to attend and bring beach chairs as the Cape May community comes together to honor those who lost their lives, recognize the heroes who responded, and ensure that the events and sacrifices of September 11, 2001, are never forgotten.

Established in 1923, the Kiwanis Club of Cape May is a local service organization dedicated to serving children and strengthening the Cape May community.
