September typically has the warmest ocean water for New Jersey and past tropical activity reflects that with the number of storms that have affected the Garden State. We would like to remind everyone that preparedness starts at home. Having a plan and supplies ready at all times can help in other unexpected events such as flash floods or pop-up severe weather. If you already have a kit, a bi-annual review gives you a chance ensure you are up to date with your family needs such as updated medications or new additions such as children and pets.
